PlyChangeShip and unwanted attention

When I change ships to one of my autons the enemies in the system go insane...

enemies will show up from all over, fight each other, and the survivors are friendly to me, are ignored by my other escorts and auto-aiming weapons (and become escorts), despite being red on radar. I also noticed a lot of tenhove sentinels joining my party as well.

This condition only occurs after using plyChangeShip, with every mod I have tried.

Does anyone else get this result? (very noticeable in St. K.)


If so I suspect there's a bug in the internal code that identifies the player's escorts for plyChangeShip, so it is finding (and ordering) more ships than it should, but that's just a guess.

Anyways, so it happens with any ship change, in any mod?

So far I've tried 3 mods:

1. my player guided missile, I assumed the problem was related to my bad, first attempt at ship changing code, but the problem persists without it
2. UGW v3
3. Ship purchase

Same result with all 3.


Specifically it happens when I change to the auton, but that doesn't mean it doesn't also happen when I go back to my ship... Changing back and forth a few times makes the swarm of ships bigger.
