New faction of adventurers?
What about a faction of adventerers which part work for, against, or both(double dealing) the Commonwealth, Ares, and other such big factions. These would pilot modifyed ships(mostly as neutral a class of ship as they can get) and have thier own capship line. Generally, these pilots, after they recieve a ship, are freelancers. Thus, execept for the capships which are maintained by the faction government(?) itself, have most of the latest tech. This would only be feasible if ship randomization is implemented.

So kind of like the rogue fleet, except nicer?

not all of them are nicer that the rougue fleet, some of them are worse, and all of them are more dangerous. Considering these are adventerers, they will be wherever the action is, balanced with the other guys that are there at the time. So yes, everywhere.

Considering these are adventerers, they will be wherever the action is, having the best tech availiable at the time (with the probable exeptions of the QAC, AAC, FFH, and ATC which wouldn't show up for a while after the player should have them). There would not be many at a capship at a time, and most of them, like the player, would be roaming solo.

Always angering me, if im (accidentally of course) atack allied (green) base, then base firing on me, but remain green color.
It is unwanted suprise if im returning to base, badly damaged for repairs, and expected rescue destroys me.
