It would certainly have some story...maybe you can get a wingman from here after you beat maximus. And it would tell how the tripoli is the undefeated one. Plus, more modding codes.

I like the idea of having previous "defeated challengers" being left in the arena. I also like the idea of there being a list of the vanquished or of those who have become champions or both. An option to view these lists once you have docked would be a nice feature.
Maybe even to create a list of those on this forum and submit their player name for the list(s). Place them in an XML file for the option to read. As I have said before, I been writing code for years but XML is new to me and I know virtually nothing about the scripting language George uses so I do not know if this is a feasable idea or not.
Should there be an option for AI ships to enter the arena to face the player if he/she becomes champion by defeating the tripoli?

Not necesssarily a high score list but a list for those who have left the arena victorious. I know this would probably everyone who has played this game but the list could be shortened to maybe top 10 based on high scores.
For scavengers like me who play ships with enlarged holds for more salvage, would the wrecks be looted by the arena or be looted by the player.

For 2500 credits, will you accept the challenge? y/n." This is only an idea and am not sure if the arena could be modded for this or whether it would have to be both a mod and code change to bring in the AI ship. This would be a random act. I know somebody made a mod for the arena where there are more "rounds" but this would be an unknown, AI selected ship, maybe even a Dwarg Master or Earth Slaver or some other heavy hitter that would likely be beyond the player's current offensive capabilities.

Ah...yes. Good idea. And this adds an oportunity for another wingman. "I have been watching your battles, and i must say, i'm inpressed. Blah,blah, can i come, blah" Oh...can you make it so that jump drives(w/e they're called) are NOT allowed in the battle arena?

I read somewhere in the XML like" You have been..._W?E happens_ Because you have left the arena before the match was finished.
