During the missions for Point Juno command center i accidently used the stargate jump sphere. When i travel back to the point juno system the command center station is non-responsive and i can no longer participate in the missions. Will this have any affect on my later game play when i travel to future star systems? I'd love to be able to replay those missions but the saving option after every jump kind of ruined it for me. Any way to fix that?

It won't ruin any future gameplay, but you won't be able to take part in the missions unless you start over and navigate back to Point Juno.

You mean the Transpace Jumpdrive?

Not the jump drive. I think it's called the sphere of despair, where it transports you to an alien system that has stargates to all the systems you have visited previously in one place. In mid combat i was trying to use the one that stops time but hit the jump one by accident.

that would be the Gem of despair. and its not just the previous systems. The important ones, plus some others,

You are correct. Either way i have a feeling i screwed myself with that move, so i'm wondering is there a way to replay the missions, if not, will this mishap affect my future game play.

Yeah, the save system isn't that good. I've been gypped by the jumpgate autosave myself. I wish the autosaves were seperate from the manual saves (or the autosaves were broken down by level--that would be cool).

No...

Anyway, could always do what many games do with autosaves, which is have X autosaves (2 or 5 or whatever), and the newest autosave overwrites the oldest one.

In any case, the current save system isn't very good... and this discussion deserves it's own topic.
