and if you do remotely placed charges, you could also make it so that you could blow up an enemy station by placing charges on the inside (assuming you could ever get inside *hint hint*)

Just read all this and it sort of hit me:
Why are you unable to install weapon systems yourself but perfectly able to loot them (same for armor and stuff)?
This is especially curius about those high end weapons, that only ringers can install. This would imply there are certain connections and whatnots that regular-guy has no clue about and if handled wrong the whole thing blows or something. But plugging it out is fine?
That's not really consistent then, is it?
And please don't argue that you just take out your blowtorch and cut out everything around the weapon/ whatnot. Their the same weight as a new one
