This is small and may have been suggested before but then I'm new to the forums and couldn't find this anywhere.
Noticed how the game shows a maximum of 12 starter ships, that is 3 default + 9 extensions? Now lots of people have asked to increase that number. That's good but I think there should be a separate ship selection screen. Clicking 30 times through the ships could get tedious. Anyway the selection screen should also show some basic details about the ship. Would look better than the current system and make it easier to use too.

I like the idea of adding a little info to the ships on the start screen. Could be really useful and make the game more user-friendly.
One could see right there and then how many weapon & util slots are available for a given ship type and maybe a short text stating things in a general way, e.g. the trader is slow at acceleration and turning but has large cargospace.
Maybe even a little desciption.
Could be useful for the regular ships and especially useful for mods, too, me thinks.

Good idea. Not only would it give a bit of insight on the ship you're getting, but it would also make it easier to select your ship. I'll be honest- it took me a few minutes to figure out how to change ships, and the Sapphire is NOT a good starter ship.
