Holochroal Armor
I generally use the Player version of the molotok smuggler. And with a good cargo expansion installed, and 4 segments of Dwarg Holochroal armor and lots of other goodies, weight really hasnt been a huge issue.Burzmali wrote:80 tons of armor will do quite a number on the Freighter's manueverablity. Better get the best reactor and drive before trying.

It's ok for me. I usually have an omniweapon...most likely a IM multytarget or a omni heavy ion. It kills pretty good, there's no need for speed. Docking is annoying, though.

Mmhmm, I prefer the Omni weapons personally, although its not an absolute requisite. Speed though, Its enough to not bother with a drive attachment (Dont like expending fuel quicker). I tried the Inertialess drive but I didnt like it, I prefer the Inertia.goat not sheep wrote:It's ok for me. I usually have an omniweapon...most likely a IM multytarget or a omni heavy ion. I play all games on the basis on one doctrine: Speed is everything, coupled with superior firepower. And I've yet to be proven wrong. The heaviest of armours won't protect you very much, if your ship (or whatever) is so slow that you're basically a sitting duck. Eventually, the numerically superior enemy will win, since it has become a war of attrition, whereas if you're faster than the enemy, you can always run away, and return later, if you're outgunned.
Spoilers abound more than Corsair IIs in the Charon System!!Burzmali wrote:Transuranic Armor rundown:
Typically, if a ship has two patch spiders installed (each heal 1 HP / 6.67 seconds), the decay is countered and the armor while repair at an average rate of 1 HP / 7.5 seconds.

Anyway, I'd rather save the device slots on the spiders, use regenerating nanos to counter the decay, and grab a really good shield. At least, I think that works...been a little while.
(Actually, I'd rather use the Sentrenian Empire's disintergration-proof magnaron armor. Yes, it's a mod; don't remember whose, though.)
The universe is illogical. Get over it.

probably thorwarriorX's.... i don think speed is everything. I managed to kill a angry mob of miners(ferin..w/e the name...) by using an Disable cube. Cool graphics...seeing a mob getting disabled. Then using a kiloton. BANG!

It's a riot!
Then after all the dusts settles, it's plunder and pillage time made easy.

I remember the first time fighting Ferians, I remember shooting their ships up and being like "Hee hee ^^" because they didnt fight back but then I hit the base, and good god, dozens of the little buggers started chasing me, and those plasma torches or w/e they use hurt something fierce. But I ran and manadged to lure them into a base.FAD wrote:Now that's an interesting trick! Although I normally won't go after Ferians until I get a jump drive installed. Then sit on top of their base and hammer it to death with a Fusionfire, aim my ship toward a populated friendly area then jump toward them...park on top of a nearby planet and watch as the friendly guards handle that mad, mad incoming swarm!

I once had a Xsnophobe defender wander into a ferin camp. many died, but eventully the ferians won. then there was a time when my brother lured a corp cruiser into attacking a minimg camp. the ferins swarmed it.
