adjustable damaging

It would be useful for balancing if items could be changed what chances it appears and what chances it appears damaged when the thing it was in was destroyed.
Like fuel and ammo always survives and devices rarely survive. It would be cool if we can have them in between those two.

I thought there was a way. Dwarg MAsters for example? But Armor you can specify the item ammount and randomness? Right?

am I confused?

How about, if the mod is developed, a protected cargo hold you can install armour segments on?
