When an external mod-weapon with External= "True" and Slots= "0" is installed, it still takes up a weapons slot....this probably shouldn't happen.
You can get around it, but it's still annoying.
I found this out with my external gun-pod mod during testing....it's designed to make mining freighters slightly less vulnerable..but doesn't work that way currently, purely because it counts towards the 2-gun limit.
Bug: 0 slot external weapons still counted towards limit

And a 2-slot gun should take 2 weapon slots by that same logic.
I found this a while back, but could never figure out what was the bug; this, or the weapon/non-weapon limits.

Depends on what kind of limit it is. If it's a mechanical limit, the hull only having two points strong enough to TAKE the weapon, then yes, a 2-slot weapon SHOULD take 2 weapons slots.Wolfy wrote:And a 2-slot gun should take 2 weapon slots by that same logic.

If it is software, however, the ships computer only being able to do fire-control for two weapons.....then it would not, of course.
