Full screen
I've noticed that when running Transcendence there will sometimes, at certain resolutions, be a black bar surrounding the viewport. This isn't a big deal while docked with stations, but it seriously detracts from the view distance when flying around... is there any way to change this behavior?

play in /windowed mode
I actually like to play with the black bars (i'm running the game in 1280x800) because part of the HUD is outside the main view, allowing me to see better in the corners

Uhm, not exactly what I meant. The actual resolution of the world area of the screen (is that what it should be called? the area with space and ships and whatnot?) is exactly the same in windowed mode, even if you maximize the screen.
This actually brings up an actual suggestion for a feature on the way to 2.0...
Transcendence.ini
(or something similar, maybe settings.xml)
There could be things like font, keybindings, resolution, fullscreen, debug mode, etc. Whatever the case, it would have to be a local file. At the current time Transcendence is a local game that can be played on a USB stick anywhere... adding registry stuff would ruin that (and hurt it's portability too)
