Visual armor damage feedback (and also screen resolution)

My computer has a high resolution display (1080p), which means that when you play Transcendence the health display is way down in the lower right corner.

In the middle of a heated battle, your eyes are focused on the small box in the middle of the screen that actually shows the game universe, and you have to look away to see the health indicator. It's actually quite hard to tell when you take armor damage how serious the situation is as a result.

My suggestion is that it'd be nice if the color the screen flashed when you take armor damage changes as a percentage of your armor. So maybe when armor is at 90%+ the screen flashes are white, and then as you take more damage, the screen flashes become more red.

(Incidentally, I currently deal with this problem by playing in windowed mode by starting with the switch /windowed. It'd be also really nice if there were in game menu that enabled me to switch between full screen and windowed, since command line switches are pretty obscure, or even allowed me to set the resolution of the game.)

Funny, whenever I play my eyes end up focused in the little box in the upper right. ;)
