it might be nice to have Customizable joystick (joydad) support for transcendence.

oh, are we supposed to be enforcing that kind of nasty search first rule? (/me checks mod handbook... hmm..)
I never liked the forums where you ask a simple question and get jumped by 4 dozen mods offering nothing more than links to search bars that don't work well.

I don't know about Transcendence directly supporting joysticks (leaning towards not currently possible), but third party utilities can convert joystick actions into key presses that Transcendence can use.
One such software is called xpadder. It's the one I use on the rare occasions I can find a gamepad that not only works but has the proper plugs.
