I do not use mules. They are too slow and fragile, too difficult to park them where you want them, and 75 tons is not enough for the kind of hauling I want to do. The only time I would consider using mules in standard Transcendence is if I am hauling cargo between safe systems, such as from St. K's to Elysium to Heretic and back.

(To Prophet) Now, if your ship purchase mod became official and part of standard Transcendence, I could buy a freighter or two, equip it, and use that as my mule. Building a small fleet of tough ships I can swap at will or send them to eliminate enemies off to the side is fun!

Stargates don't work. One hostile ship with a momentum weapon spawns and it'll knock them off the gate. Only really big planets are safe too. Otherwise they can get hit by quantum effects and one momentum hit and they're off the planet and dead. Stars are even less safe.

Mind you, if an enemy shoots at a crate full of copious amounts of fuel (which some people do leave on stars and the like), it may well get the surprise of its life, and you get a slight good side to loosing all your loot.

Sometime I want to load a wreck targeted by a gaian with fuel, and watch it blow up the gaian.
