Limited Enemy Ammo

I can understand some of the really big ships having an almost endless supply of ammo but the small fighters should really be limited to how much they can hold.
Even if the ship is mostly packed with ammo it would still be only in the hundreds. Even larger ships might have a capacity of several thousand.
The Pteravores have a limited ammo for the afterdeath cannons used at their bases so I don't see a specific programming issue, just a lot of ship by ship decision making and editing.

You can fit 1650-1800 NAMI missiles into a wolfen if you try really hard.

SO.....if you had a fully-loaded AI-piloted wolfen with a compulsive hoarding problem and a Black Strelka fetish......you'd have a very un-agile fighter loaded with a heck of a lot of annoyingness. :D

EDIT: YES, I am counting using a cargo expansion.

The ammo/missile thing should be cut back on....it's just weird when you get a Corsair-II hurling uncounted missiles at you....

Eh. They're not that big, and straight-line rockets (which KM100s technically are, not missiles) aren't all that hard to dodge (unless you get swarmed, in wehich case I'll admit it gets a bit tricky).

C Deuces are supposed to be deadly. If they weren't there'd be no real challenges outside the arena until after Saint Kat's. We really don't want to make the early game slog any longer, especially not on a game that seems to be moving back towards its roguelike roots with respect to permadeath. Boring early levels are boring and we've already got a few of them.
