Also, I want something akin to larger tanks/ different reactors, and a way to define specific groups to turn on and off would be nice.
Specific groups could be designated as 3 special keys.
In the ship DS, you could choose as many items as you want to 'link' to those keys, then it will turn the items on/off in tandem.
What do YOU want for 1.09?

1. I would like to see multiple items like patch spiders stack when installed to reduce the U se screen clutter.
2. Dockscreens that naturally allow larger amounts of text without having to deal with complex canvas functions. Ie a statistics DS in addition to the normal screen and item picker screens.
3. A goto nearest X command for autons. Ie goto nearest star, station, planet, ship etc
4. More missions!

I'd like to see more variety in the Commonwealth Militia missions. It gets really tedious when I get three "escort superfreighter from the edge of the system" missions in a row. What were they doing out there anyways?
objDecontaminate and objMakeRadioactive to replace shpDecontaminate and shpMakeRadioacive. Currently, nothing can decontaminate stations once they become radioactive. Also, I tried to make asteroids radioactive (as a replacement ore scanner effect), but could not.
I would like support added for the following:
* Glowing outlines other than green.
* Colorize objects, such as turning ships or asteroids red, blue, or some other color.
A combination of the above two would also be a nice replacement effect for Domina powered shields (e.g, Sustain), because the current globes do not fit big ships.

I second the reactor fuel idea, definitely need something (though please don't take up a device slot!) Maybe be just reactors that have larger tanks rather than an add on? Maybe a version of 'enhanced' that gives greater fuel supply? As long as if it IS a separate 'fuel tank' make it not use a device slot. Perhaps it just takes up a fair bit of tonnage in the hold. Would mean the cargo ship would have longer range than the others if they were willing to sacrifice tonnage.
One other option (probably for a mod rather than 1.09, dunno) might be an emergency fuel device. Something like a true quantum tap/zero point module. It creates energy from nothing... just pitiful amounts of it. If you switch off every device it might give you enough fuel to run the engines alone and get back to the system's sun (or a station) to refuel properly.
(EDIT:) Also some sort of repair system. Whether it is a station that can repair anything (but is a hard to find station) or an item etc. The vanilla version has some repairs (if I remember right. Been playing modded version too much ) but most I remember were specific to brand of device weren't they?

Raisermesser and Makayev factories will repair some of their own weapons and devices for a fee, but they show up so late that it barely matters at that point. Earth Industries and NAMI don't have their own factories so there's just about no way to repair the majority of their devices. That leaves a lot of junk with no purpose but to sell to the Tinkers.

Longzhu spheres can repair some items, but using longzhus for that purpose is a waste.

^ Or, if balance is an issue, offer a way to enhance the fuel efficiency of reactors so you can choose whether to burn fuel more slowly or have more power available. So a 50MW could get the existing enhancement to become a 60MW reactor that chugs fuel like water, or it could basically get a +Efficient enhancement and not use fuel up as quickly. Its capacity wouldn't increase, though.
But I wouldn't mind all reactors burning fuel less quickly by default. The stock reactor usually lasts for the whole time I'm in Eridani, but once I upgrade I'm refueling every five to ten minutes.

The reactors are easy to mod to have bigger tanks or be more efficient. Example for the 25MW reactor:

Some kind of Rin<>Credit conversion station...grinding sucks and is a bad game design...if you want to not make it too easy set the Credit>Rin to 10:1 and Rin>Credit to 1:2 or something...just make it less than the standard 1:5 rate so that the player will think twice before going easy way...
Is there a way to see the last few messages that have flashed up? Several times I've been busy in the middle of a battle, seen something appear in the bottom of the screen but couldn't read it before it faded out completely?
If there isn't a way to see message history now then that should be there for the an update.
