Here's a thread to suggest ideas!

Here's a couple:

1) Make the entrances to the Arena more obvious. I've had a few people coming to me, asking how to get in. They have a point - there are only two ways that it's possible to figure out where the entrances are - the sign, and the slightly different green pillars (the latter isn't really that helpful).
I mean, something simple like making a bigger gap between the pillars would get the job done. :)

2) Here's a weapon idea - You all know the weapon that the Rasiermeisser guy gives you for helping him? (well, no, you don't, but you probably will soon). How about making a flame version of that?
Like a mix between the weapon he gives you and this:

:looks around:

Less slavers!

Oh, and a need "beef-up" of the Xenophobes! People need to fear them again!

I agree with Boris on the Xenophobes thing... They used to strike fear into the hearts of even the most veteran player, but now with all of the "etherium field crystals" and the fact that by the time you find them so late in the game, particle damage is nothing.
So, I think there should be more of them (3-4 times as many), they should found earlier in the game, and they should be slightly stronger.
Oh, and how about a "Xenophobe Defense Satellite"? They orbit around the Worldships, and they're not limited to particle damage. Maybe they could have thermo, but it still looks like the particle weapons they already use, just to surprise you
I also think there should three or four times as many of the fighters flying around the worldships and destroyers.

Indeed, but the screenshot is mine. (I caught the shot)

I only agree with this partly - I think there should be less slave camps, or that even the current slave camps should be gotten rid of.
Right now, the slave camps with all of the pods around it are just annoying. Not difficult, or challenging or anything, just annoying. You have to go to great lengths just to dock with one the things, and it's also annoying to destroy the station.
Maybe you could have the main station in the middle (a slightly bigger one, though, the current one looks puny and not very slaverlike), and four large "slave stations" (make them look big and very...run-down?) to the north-west, the north-east, south-west and south-east of the station. They could also be armed, and along with the current defence satellites.

Edit: Now I think about it, that station would be rather too tough at the stages in the game you find the current slave camps. How about having some of the old, some of the new, but a lot more of the new in very-late-game?
And the occasional one of them just after St. K's.

Just opinions:
I don't want more of any enemy, at any time.
I have felt, almost since beginning to play Transcendence, that there are too many enemies already and too many reinforcements arriving all the time.
I would much rather see the Xenophobes ship counts stay close to the same; but, have them upgraded in other ways. More blast or thermo damage from the cap ships maybe.

I would personally like to see the encounters in Transcendence have a more tactical feel. Encounters right now seem casual and not very immersive. The new Ares additions are a step in the right direction, IMO. They are too strong to just waltz in wipe them out head-on; you have to use some tactics to beat them. They are the first enemy besides the Iocrym that are like this (Hurin Destroyer too, I suppose).

I have to admit, I have never been a fan of the shoot'em up genre of video games. I've always been a RPG and strategy game fan.

I really don't think it would. Right now, the gap at the entrance is smaller than the gaps between the regular pylons. Make it the same and it would blend in further. Something simple would be adding "enter Here" to the sign.

YES! Exactly! Too many soverigns seem to use the "horde' strategy - it';s okay sometimes (Anarchists because hornets more or less stay at their base and are one hit kills with nearly any weapon, Dwarg because you can circumvent the battle by killing the leader, Ranx because Ranx just need to be scary, etc) but the horde of Viking-II's is too much now that they run away as well (and the running away is good, it's just the horde that is killing me, quite literally - the freighter quickly gets swamped with a never ending swarm, because it takes as long to destroy the current pack until the next one arrives) -

I'm sure everybody has their own ideas about how they would like the game to be. That is why the extensions are so cool.
Ultimately, it will up to George to decide how the base game is going to be.
I think this is the best version update since I've been playing. Lots of really good changes.

By "make a bigger gap between the pillars" I meant the ones at the entrances, and quite a lot bigger. Three to four times bigger.
