Bad .tdb in collection causes failure to load

I realized that the issue of a .tdb in the /collections/ folder preventing the game from loading is a rather serious one because if the game does not load, it cannot download a patched version. Instead it should probably try to skip whatever its loading, and skip anything that depends on it as well.

Agreed. The game already tries to do that. If there is a specific .TDB that causes the game to crash/stop, please send it over.

PMed you one, also the resources .tdb should be causing a load failure (it should download from the multiverse though)
