1.2RC2 isnt generating an empty extensions folder anymore?

It doesnt seem to generate an empty extension folder like older versions used to - not sure when it stopped doing it since i have been pasting in my extensions folder from prior versions, but i launched it initially to insert the noAutoupdate tag into the settings.xml file
(shpOrder gPlayership 'barrelRoll)
