1.08f Opaque HUD elements

When did the shield and power indicators get the opaque black background? Are they supposed to be that way? It looks weird when you get near a star...

Also, anyone else having trouble using transdata at the moment? (I was trying to check out the actual images for the above, but cant extract anything)

That... would likely be a glitch with the changes in 1.08e to the backcolor data... I was playing on 1080p so I would never have noticed.
