I'm seeing a lot of instances where ferians will decide to leave home and gate out. This may be intentional, but it seems out of character, so I thought I should check.

I'm still seeing this in 1.2rc2. Every time I return to a system with ferians, half of them will make a mass exodus.

I can't seem to reproduce this.

When a Ferian colony gets destroyed, any remaining Ferians will leave. Are you sure that's not what's going on? Are you able to reproduce this?

Oops. Missed the reply to this.

I can reproduce with an old savefile brought over to the new version, or with a god-mod. I haven't gotten as far as ferians in the 1.2 final release yet.

The ferian bases are still intact- just a bunch of ferians heading off to the nearest gate when I arrive.

I will send an 'event in progress' savefile (too big to attach here...)

Amusing and possibly relevant: By saving and restarting at the right/wrong time, I got a ferian to stop exodusing and attach itself to a rock in the middle of nowhere, miles* from its home base.

* possibly the wrong word in a space sim, but "AUs away" doesn't have the right ring to it...
