1.3 Beta 1: Is this a bug?

I use a portable analyzer and unidentified items appear on screen. I was surprised to see a Commonwealth Military ID ROM in it with the not able to analyze due to higher level something message. Is the portable analyzer supposed to analyze ID ROMs too?(can't upload capture image to imageshack. Don't know why)

You mean there was a military tag on the unidentified rom, right? I ask because it sounds you mean the military id chip, which is also a rom.

There actually is a military ROM, besides the chip, which has to be identified.

aren't analyzers supposed to identify only usable unidentified items? what's the use of identifying military ids?

There is a military map ROM, which will reveal all enemy stations in the system when used. The military ROM you have might be this thing.

No. It's the ID. The analyzers treat both BM and Military IDs as unidentified items. Possibly this depends on where you got the ID from.

If you're given a military ID by Korolov, it isn't set to known. Probably a bug.
