now that I'm finally able to post (it took a few weeks after registering

It concerns the "levels" of weapons/armor/shields. From observation, it looks like the resistance/vulnerability properties of armor are not the only factor in how much damage is taken from being hit by a certain weapon, since I've noticed that I didn't take any damage from "regular" (not 9TeV) particle beam with a lv10 armor that was not described as particle resistant.
It looks like the level difference also affects how much damage is taken, i.e. a lv10 armor is just too high-level for any of the regular particle beams to even scratch.
Has anyone else noticed this, is there a formula behind it, or am I completely off-track ?
