Well, this is it. Getting to the conclusions of one of the best runs I've ever had.
The IM90 was courtesy of some xenophobes who happily blew a couple taikons away for me.
I had a complete end-game equipment set by point juno (got my plasma cannon there; I had the IM90 and fusion fire a number of systems before already), and am now workong on backtracking to grab & buy as many longzhu's as possible, and clean off the last couple systems I've missed. Once I get to heretic, I'll switch shields from this kaidun to a Taikon 200 I've been saving, and bosst the taikon to nearly 1000 HP with all the longzhu's. In regards to the antarctica, I could do any one of three paths (kill, save, or ignore); at this point, victory is already pretty much assured... Just have to slaughter those stupid pteravores before the do something dumb.
Current loadout is:
Hyperion 1GW; Kaidun 800HP (to swap with Taikon 200); plasma cannon, IM90, Fusion Fire (possibly an upgrade to an IFC, if I have longzhu's to spare, but even then, the current plasma cannon I haveis more than suficiencet.), cargo hold uprade 4x octocarbide (to be upgraded to iocrymlight armor later on, an ares launcher (with lots of war hammers and micronukes; about 30 tons worth ofmicronukes; each is 20kg), and lastly apair of patch spiders that I use only when trying to heal on a planet or something; where they are safely out of damage (and useful in heretic too seeing as they repair up to level XII armor
