Freighter Pilot Can't Shoot None - Targeting ROM issues

The problem I have is that my Targeting ROM stopped auto-aiming my weapons once I installed a newly purchased weapon for my freighter.

The first new weapon I installed was an Arbalest something or other, the one that shoots like four kinetic projectiles in bursts. It also didn't work with a turbolaser I purchased after I suspected that perhaps it doesn't work with certain weapons. Perhaps the ROM only works with red lasers? I tried to install a new ROM later, but it said I already had one installed.

What am I missing?

Only omni weapons auto aim(*). The targeting ROM just lets you target objects. If the weapon is omni then (1) it will shoot at the current target or (2) the closest enemy or (3) straight forward if neither (1) or (2) apply. The Arbalest is not an omni weapon so it will not auto aim.
