In past games, I've deliberately attacked both Salvagers (they really piss me off when the steal my stuff) and T31 shuttles (a quick way to pickup some illegal goods to take to a Hotel to get a Black Market ID). Recently I noticed that this shows up in your (F2 key) stats for the current game under conduct.
So now I'm playing a new game and restraining myself, but the Scavengers are really starting to irritate me again. So how bad is it to attack Salvagers and engage in a little light piracy? Does it hurt your score and your relations, and if so, how much?
How bad is it to attack "friendly" ships.

It hurts neither, and AFAIK, we don't have a "Did not kill friendly ships" conduct (but its really easy to lose ships to friendly fire, so...)
And yes, atm, the salvagers are jerks -_-

Thanks Wolfy.
Soon as I'm geared up for it I'm going back to have a word with the Salvagers in Cygni.

Right. Who cares about the unaligned freighter fleeing to what he thinks is an ally while being chased by pirates. He may have really good stuff. Or the lame farrian who's on his first day of work...
P.S. speaking of days, when does the player sleep? I assume even neo-humans need sleep...

AFAIK, from stuff on the website, when you use autopilot, the pilot is 'sleeping' in a form, to speed up time. I think. :/Drako Slyith wrote:Right. By the way Drako, I see you used by idea of Xelerus-mod-sorting-and-putting-it-in-a-url-for-a-signature. Now let's hope it catches on!

Much simpler than listing all of them, and much shorter than five or six urls.ThePrivateer wrote:By the way Drako, I see you used by idea of Xelerus-mod-sorting-and-putting-it-in-a-url-for-a-signature. Now let's hope it catches on!

Also, just for clarification, some of the "green" ships on the LRS are not actually friendly (ie, salvagers, teratons (even though they are stations)), as they are actually neutral. Green = not a hostile /faction/ (doesn't mean that the individual can't be hostile), Red = hostile faction (doesn't mean the ships will attack on sight, especially if pre-oppupied with existing orders), Yellow = Projectiles, White = You, Grey = oops, you're dead (Don't know why this is, but when you die, all the icons become grey)

I love the exploit where you destroy one of those big ships that collects all the space junk, and then take all the gear to the Tinkers.
Of course, taking one of the Salvagers down is the tricky part...they're really strong.

If that is true, then my pilot sleeps *A LOT*ThePrivateer wrote:AFAIK, from stuff on the website, when you use autopilot, the pilot is 'sleeping' in a form, to speed up time. Many 'friendlies' are in the game are actually neutural which is kinda sweet, because then they don't call the commonwelath when you mess up.Wolfy wrote:That's not an exploit. And the thinkers arn't friendly either >.> (they are neutral)
