Without any mods, you can repair ion weapons by using Iognzu spheres on them. If it is armor, install it, repair it, uninstall it ,then sell it. Otherwise either a) sell to Tinker or if you are very far then b) give to teraton fabricator and see what happens.

SPOILER: If you decide to go with b), then do not give it Launchers or unidentified barrels. You will be eaten if you do.
