Usually I do too, but I had never got anything good before. (It was my third or so game, and I actually had not learned how to save...

I couldn't find the stargate out of charon so I stayed there and got blasted repeatedly.
Another stupid death i had was I was attacked by Charon gunships after I had destroyed their base and was low on health. I couldn't find a friendly station so I sat on the sun, thinking my new solar panel I had bought would keep my fuel up. I set it on auto pilot to let see if maybe some friendly ship would come and kill them or something. I went to get a drink, came back and saw I had forgotten to install the solar panel and had maybe ten seconds of fuel left.
I updated my first post on this topic by the way because I thought of a stupider death.

The gate out of charon should always be with that outermost cluster of planets (I think there are three closely clustered planets?)Drako Slyith wrote:I couldn't find the stargate out of charon so I stayed there and got blasted repeatedly.

My worst first game ever,
I skipped to the end and then met a blue ship.....
I thought that was the guys from the beginning
then......
I fired
it fired...
end of story

It was my first time ever playing the game. I got shot whenever I went towards those planets (It has either 3 or 4, 60% it has 4) I thought it was in the asteroids... bad move.Wolfy wrote:The gate out of charon should always be with that outermost cluster of planets (I think there are three closely clustered planets?)Drako Slyith wrote:I couldn't find the stargate out of charon so I stayed there and got blasted repeatedly.

Another stupid death I just had while testing one of my mods through the whole otherwise vanilla game was I was low on fuel, I had enough fuel in my hold to keep going, but I hate using it for non-emergencies, and the bar was still green. I opened an abandoned cargo crate, which informed my a solvent had dissolved my fuel. I promptly ran out of fuel and died

Gem of Despair, I think.Ttech wrote:I know.I have a hunch he some how got one of those blue gems - I forgot the name but those things kept messing me up early game as well. And you can't exactly go back either.
They warp you to Elysium, similiar to the Jumpdrive/Stargate trick.
I used one of these the first times I played the game, went straight to Heretic and got blown to smithereens.... XD
