So, after being killed by a scavenger, then some ares ship, twice, I decided to head for the core.

I found the Iocrym, and I gave it a 110% (of my heavy ion cannon) and Mammoth Shield v100. I didn't dent it. I used my quilong arcannon, but I ran out of bullets to fire. The ares arc cannon was no good either. My Captial/Station nukes had no effect either. I tried letter I for domina's power, and that brought the ship shields and some damage.

So I went to the planet in hiding, where I tried out all sorts of gadgets. First I tried the freeze option, which didn't work so well. Then, I tried this other unkown orb. So I thought to myself, why not? What happened was it took down my shield, and pretty much gave me 1 hp for all my armor, but it took down the entire Iocrym shield and 99% damage.

I had to recover and ended up using my gems of despair, and to refill on some domina powers. Sold all my fuel, and changed my missile launcher.

All I needed to do was finish it off. But unfortunately, as soon as it was destroyed (combo of missiles and ion cannon) it was obliterated.

In the end, the Human race never made it out of the Galactic Core.

Thoughts:

-Early game relied slightly on mining, where I turned quickly to pillaging.
-Didn't like the Black Market too much. I was fine with my weaponry
-Tried to save the Korolov Station but I was in a rush and put an exterior armor the wrong way and direction
-The Dragon Slaver is TOO easy with my configurations. 110% heavy ion cannon pwns alot of stuff
-Had a hard time defeating stations with my ion/particle guns
-I couldn't do enough missions to fight against the Ares in Point Juno
-Blackmarket shipyards are your friends
-Ringer shipyards are your friends

You got the GoS and didn't know what it was?

the easiest way to do it with a GoS is to have a 1M/i auton or three handy. Iocrym blowing up is a known bug, you'll have to go into the code and remove the explosion I think.
