The question of this thread:

"What is your favourite weapon, out of all the weapons, anywhere in the game."

This doesn't mean the most damage, the best range, or the most OPed thing you know of. It means the weapon where, whenever it is in the game you get it, you love it the most.....it could be the centauri recoilless, if you REALLY like it (if you do, please let us know, so we can call you an ambulance :P )

For me, it's a tie between:

Iocrym Fracture Cannon (Anything you can enhance up to 950DPS is gonna show up on this list)

Lancer Cannon+Fast (Ok, so it isn't the BEST weapon out there....but the range is BRILLIANT!)

Omni-Thermo Cannon (I once enhanced one of these babies up to +150% in Either 0.99c or an early 1.0 RC x......the effects were....fun)

I love the Mark V personally, since it's thermo damage and is (or at least was) possible to find at a decent area (usually a bit before Sanctuary for me).

But my weapon that I must have... KM500s. Excellent early-game trackers before I find a targeting ROM. Following that I love Gothas but I can hardly ever find the launcher nowadays.

Primary-wise... gotta love that Ferian Plasma Cannon. Made of win.

one of my favourite right now is the X-ray laser +Fast with Bushido enhancer and laser collimator.

On my last game, I didn't get a single Rasiermesser factory :shock:

I love my Stephinian Missile rack because I made it :P

It's less fun now that the glitch that made the fragments only come out the right side was fixed though, now it's just plain overpowered...

i'm gonna go ahead and be cliche here and say IM90. the original is still the best. i've tried the IFC and the positron lancer and i still take the IM90. even with the nerfed range i still have to have one playing a freighter. also the fusionfire because the jump from the mark v to it is noticable enough to not want to spend any thermo upgrades until i get a fusionfire. that's almost always my end game weaponry. early on i go omni-turbo/mark I to omni-particle/mark III to omni-tev9/mark V. i'm very predictable like that... if any of the above aren't findable at a reasonable point, i just stick with the previous until the next highest comes along.. that's how i roll.

I can never pass up a ferian plasma cannon, that thing is a great late game base buster/ lobster cracker, slightly short range but so much faster than the fusionfire, which I grab the rest of the time.

for primary I like the dual laser early on, mainly for the feel of it, and a katana later, which I hold on to for a very long time.

I always order lots of weapon optimizer roms and use them on anything towards the end but howitzers.

My fav weapon is the PK25 Morningstar cannon. With a cannon accelerator and +fast it will take me up to charon. It's a decent all-around weapon against swarms, individual ships and basecracking. It stops some missiles and shots and draws very little power.

I haven't used that one in RC5...before then, I liked it, but the Multi-threading bug meant it was kinda annoying at times.

The mutli-threading bug seems to be fixed.. I haven't noticed any problems with it anyways...

In the release note it says it's fixed.....I just haven't used the PK since finding the bug.

I've still yet to try out the 950 DPS Enhanced IFC of Doomy DOOMness....has anyone tested it in the late game?

Yes, I have. Look at the screenshot I put up in the RC5 forum. It shows a +70 IFC. I did take it up to 150 later on.

The poor poor Command ship didn't stand a chance against my +150 IFC and NAMI heavy...

EDIT:
Here's a screen shot of the +70 IFC...don't have one of the +150 IFC though - already started a new game and that old savegame is gone...
