have any ideas for new ships for existing factions or entirely new factions with their own storylines and related missions/ sub topologies (for v.99)?
also new player ships suggestions would be really nice (already have a few ideas, but i'll leave them as surprises)

what i've got sofar:
I've already got a teraton expansion in the works as well as an expansion for the luminous. Then there is the sub topology goal of reaching Sol and earth to help the commonwealth prevent the Solarite Empire from breaching the defensive line and getting into commonwealth territory. Also, I've got some stuff for the pirates (mostly higher classes of ships thus using the same model over and over- ie Corsair III-V, Drake II-IV, Tripoli II-V, Barbary II-III etc., but i may get around to giving them some ships of their own)
ideas on ships and factions...
Three Wanderer factions. Basically they are semi-independant groups of people like you. They are just as powerful as the playership should be for the danger level and will either help the player (by giving the player a unique weapon) or try to obliterate the player. Instead of stations they have carriers.
Encounters from these factions will likely have to be reccuring-timer invoked (with a random chance checked every time the timer is activated) to prevent friendly attackers. A distance check may help too. That should be easy to mod.
Lolondar: Allied with the CW, against the BM, Pirates, Outlaws, Rogue Fleet, and Ares. If the player has a BM id, BM rank, or any CW crime, these adventurers will shoot on sight. CW fleet members are welcome.
Thier ships look like Centurions and Ronins, but don't be fooled, like your ship, they are more than what they seem. All ships have a small fleet of autons backing them. Their carrier looks like an Aquilla
Unique weapon series: M1T auton series. The M1T-D is almost the equivalent of the 1M, the M1T-C's are like small centurions that fit in the back of your pick-up truck, the M1T-B's wield hanzo blasters, and the M1T-A packs a better shield generator and a virtually (ie. the weapon they use is virtual but very slow-firing) unlimited supply of Medusa missiles. The missiles for the M1T-A may have to be nerfed by having less fragments.
Thurgate: Allied with several independent sovereigns including Centauri raiders, Heliotropes (despite the fact that the Heliotropes detest the Thurgate wanderers), Huari, Ventari, and Kobol Warlords. They will shoot high ranking CW or BM officers on sight, but you may be their ally if you are a member of both.
Ships look like the larger Heliotrope ship and the Kobol gunships. Their carriers look like Hurari ships.
Unique weapon series: Tracking Morningstar cannons. TPK25, TPK50, TPK100, and TPK250.
Banarche: Allied with the BM, against the CW. You may not be a member of the CW militia or fleet, but BM members are welcome.
Their ships look like Molotok Gunships and T130 transports. Their carriers look like the Mikeno.
Unique weapon series: MD1C launcher and the MD-series irridating missiles including the M9A, M6A, M3A, M1A and M1B.
