Request for a trackor beam device

I would like to request that someone create a tractor beam device. I have used F50's prototype with pleasure, yet have found that it depends upon the ship in the mod in order to work. I would like to request a stand alone device which would not depend upon any one ship, but one that is complete in itself, and could therefore be used with / on any ship one chooses. If someone would do this, I would be grateful, and I know that it would be a great asset to the community; especially to those who favor Star Trek / Star Wars themed ships.

try the tow rope mod, the rope version is essentially a tractor device optimized for towing things, just without the visible beam.
