So I have this lame question:
I have around 500 models free to use that I can render in 3D for Transcendence.
They are from many sources and various sci-fi tv series or movies.
Which one is the ship you would like to use or see in Transcendence ?

How about a Taelon ship (from "Earth: Final Conflict"), or something like the NTI's (living bio-luminescent ships) in "The Abyss" ?
Or the Stargate city-ship Atlantis. Or the Sea Shadow (stealth tri-maran warship). Or an Orion ion-drive sleeper ship. Or the Space Battleship Yamato. Or the dropship from "Aliens". Or a Goa'uld pyramid mothership. Or a V-22 Osprey.
Or a CSC

There's allready a defiant mod. Just about every other Trek federation ship is going to look bad from Transcendance's rendering angle. A Miranda might work though. The intrepid is ugly, but it's best camera angle is above so it would work okay. A Romulan d'deridex would be okay. They're a horrible shade of green, though. The Romulan ship from Balance of Terror would work quite well. The Klingon d-12 looks good from above. So does the vor'cha
As for Wars most ships are going to look clunky from above, though not as bad as Trek's ships. Some of the heavier TIE designs might work, but their best angles are more oblique. X, B, and A wings have the same problem. The Y-wing's best angle is probably from above, but it's dumpy at any angle.
I'm not very familiar with other filmed SF franchises.
Sure. A death star. And then you can do Dahak and a beach ball. Big sphere ships aren't going to look good in a flat environment.
A 747 would be okay if you like that sort of thing. Being an actual piece of practical engineering they don't have a specific angle or set of angles they're designed to be photographed from so they look okay if not great from just about any angle. Of course as a winged aircraft they're going to look out of place among the balls, bricks, and saucers that populate the Transcendence universe.
All meshes are in 3ds format which is supported by blender 2.4.4 with python scripts, textures are also included in jpg format.
Enjoy!
