events and wrecks

Just thought of something interesting.

Wrecks don't normally events but now with event handlers we can put events on them.

One use might be to stop disintegration by not doing damage in onDamage. (not sure if this will work)

what other uses can you think for this?

Add overlays with animations like smoke
spawn emergency capsules leaving the wreck
some wreck could have self-destruct events, that scatter the items around

Perhaps they are still alive and send a distress call to have reinforcements come pick them up?

Perhaps they're able to repair the drive and limp out of the system.

Maybe there's hostile enemy troops aboard and you have to fight them to get at ... oops (I've said too much..)

Yes, more stuff can be done with wrecks and that would be awesome :D
