I'm enjoying playing the game after a 2-3 year layoff. (I like the changes I've seen so far.) My question: I remember being able to make some small changes in the game by just editing files in the TranscendenceSource files, without making new extensions. Does that still work, and how do you do it?
Thanks

it still works, you have to extract all the sources using transdata (latest version 2.0) then move all the files in the root folder of transcendence.

or, if you are lazy, just unpack this:

Thanks, I think I remember doing that.

What I'd like to be able to do is reverse the TransData process- compile XMLs into a single Transcendence.tdb.
[schilcote] It doesn't have to be good, it just has to not be "wow is that the only thing you could think of" bad

Or what about making a Mod.tdb file? That would be cool, too.
