Upgradeable wingmen and useable items.

I've tried using a few items with my wingmen, and it doesn't seem to work. Is there some specific thing you have to do? Do certain types of items not work? Or do I have to install the thing for myself, upgrade it, remove it and then install it on them?

The install it on yourself trick used to be required for everything, but this is no longer the case.

What do you mean, "it doesn't seem to work", does the item have no effect, return an error, or do your wingmen fail to see it in the "use item" option?

1. jettison the item to be used onto your wingmen
2. go to the "use item" option
3. select the item from the list and use it.

Roms and field crystals are not supported, but barrels, armor repair items, and longzhu spheres are.



I just took a loot at a field crystal and determined that it may be possible to incorporate them as well.

Is there any way to access the code placed in an item's invoke? if not a brute force item unid check can be used, but i'd rather try the more dynamic solution first.

The particular items I was most interested in applying right now are the weapons optimizer and a longzhu sphere, neither of which even show up as an option when I select "Use Item" in their menu. I might have to try again to double-check this, but I don't think either of them do.
