you have two copies of the mod delete SFSpaceStations 1_02.xml if you have 1.01 (if its 1.02 delete SFSpaceStations 1_01.xml) and it should work

Also, this was covered in the readme in SFSpaceStations...

edit: Not, of course, that I didn't run across the same problem when I installed it

it is also clearly written in the mod description:
http://xelerus.de/index.php?s=mod&id=760
Instructions:
Unzip archive in your Extensions folder. There are XMLs for version 1.01 and for 1.02. Delete the ones you're not using before starting Transcendence.
At least one "SFSpaceStations 1_0x.xml" should be left for the Tinkers to work.

Oh, no wonder it didn't work on my end either. That's what I get for downloading stuff from my Mac and transferring it over to my IBM a day later.

Hi. Just got back online after an extended vacation ;-)

How would you like me to address this issue in the next update? Should I put the XMLs for different versions in separate folders when I ZIP them?

I was thinking of making two subdirs so you have to copy the xml for your appropriate version for it to work, but would appreciate the input from those who've had problems the first time around.

Well, you could put them into two separate folders, but is there a need to have two of the same mod to begin with? Perhaps you should release only the 1.01-compatible version first, then wait for 1.02 to come out before releasing the 1.02-compatible version.

I think the easiest way to go around this, though, is to make it very clear that there are two versions of the same mod, and the end user must pick one of them. You can put a readme file in the zip, for example, if it isn't there already.

1.02 is out and most veteran players are running it. We put up with the bugs because we've played the previous version enough and in most cases have been waiting with varying degrees of impatience for the new features, but new players are directed to the stable version because bugginess would put them off the game entirely.

you could also prefix the dev version with dev- or beta- or suffice.
