Yes, I'm making GM stuff. There will be one or two surprises included (or three, or four...or....uh, maybe I should label the NORMAL GM stuff as the surprises...), and I'm not talking Darkfire 9999d9999 damage. I'm talking more......unusual stuff.

So, anyone have some wacky/extreme ideas they can't be bothered making themselves? I'm wanting to make this an entertaining and fun GM system that's entirely lighthearted and can be used just for an odd laugh every now and then.

What about a gun that shoots autons? (selected randomly)

In The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion, there was an easter-egg like weapon called "Wabbajack". When you hit someone with it, they turned into a sheep, or some other random and harmless animal.

Maybe you could create a funny weapon that changes enemy (or ally) ships into space sheep? With little space helmets?

Hmm. It's probably possible to delete them and create another ship in their place. However I'm thinking Mule auton or Centauri Raider rather than sheep.

Hmm, lets see... These might not all be GM, but could be fun to try.

"Allegiance": Change Sovereign of target, and give them something new to shoot at (except you!).

"Who did that!": A gun that just deletes targets (or destroys them) without giving the player credit for it (or grief). For the real pacifist playthrough!

"Fritz": Some sort of chain EMP gun. "EMP one and you EMP em all!"

"Pacman" or "The object ramscoop": Fly into things to convert them to fuel / shield (and eat them!).

"Bertha": A missile that has no forward momentum, but a massive recoil. It basically detonates where you were, but pushes out of the way when you fire it. Oh, and real big explosions too.

"Portable Hold": Well, a cargo hold version of the D&D portable hole. Stuff anything in it, and you will never run out of space. Basically, just stuff the cargo onto some massive invisible mule or sumthin.

"Rambo": An ammoless gun that quite often dumps empty ammo crates (clips) in space. These crates are, of course, explosive.

for some reason those ideas appeal to me, I can't think why.

I made a weapon similar to the 'point of view' weapon from Hitchhiker's guide. Anyone hit by it would switch sovs and escort the player. Great fun!

Using my thruster example, you can have a launcher that will fire just about any script, providing nearly limitless oppotunities:
  • Move your target right beside you (good for enemies that retreat or Korolov escort freighters)
    Instant cargo transport (steal from target)
    Gravity well gun (add 999999999 tons of titanium to the target ship? might work)
    Conduct: Uber Pacifism - apply an overlay that suppresses all weapon fire from all ships (wont work on stations though)

Ooh. The debug gun. You invoke it to bring up a dockscreen with some text boxes. One for onfireweapon, one for ondamagearmor and a third for ondamageshields. It executes whatever is in those text boxes. By default it does one generic damage.

I like that one best! Maybe it could also affect asteroids...? Y'know, drive over asteroids and they expel heaps of ore!

Hell, that might be my new favorite mining method... OUTSIDE of a GM mod. It would, of course, be a really high level item... maybe better for part 2

Yeah, right until you're shields down at half armor dodging a pair of Ranx DNs and suddenly find you can't turn fast enough to dodge because you flew through an asteroid belt.

Well you don't disassemble a star system until you've made sure you've evacuated all it's (former) residents ;)
