You use 40-facings, not 20 actually, for any of the playerships.
Also, you would need to render them, as opposed to draw them, as they are rendered at a position of 2 units back, 4 units above the origin (center of the ship around which it rotates).
A lot of people here use blender: I wouldn't exactly call it easy, but... hey, we can help you out learning it.
