I'm fixing bugs this week for 1.08e. Just as a reminder, here are the rules of engagement for bugs:
1. The best way to request fixes is to create a ticket on Trac (http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence/trac/report/3). It's OK to file both bugs and enhancement suggestions, particularly if you need something for a mod.
2. For bugs, please try to include as much information as possible for me to reproduce the problem. Detailed steps help a lot.
3. For new modding features, please describe how you plan to use the new feature. For example, say something like, "I need x because I'm trying to create a weapon that shoots two beams in opposite directions." The 'why' is just as important as the 'what'.
4. I use the priority field of the ticket to help me schedule things. In general, I will fix higher priority over lower priority (but not always). If you are currently blocked from creating or releasing a mod because of a fix, please set the priority field to 'blocker'.
5. Please be sure to downgrade tickets that you are less interested in. For instance, if one of your blocker tickets is no longer a blocker, then please downgrade it so that I can spend time on your other blockers. I usually divide my time by reporter, so everyone gets at least some of their blockers fixed.
6. The milestone is what I use to schedule when a ticket will be fixed. When you first create a ticket you should leave this set to 'Not Scheduled'. On my triage pass I will schedule it to some milestone. If you don't like the scheduling that I've chosen, please reset the ticket to 'Not Scheduled' and explain your reasoning.
7. If you write a ticket and it gets fixed, your name can appear in the credits. If you see that one of your tickets was fixed and if your name is not already in the credits, please PM me (or email me: [email protected]) and I will add your name. Please specify how your name should appear and the ticket number.
Thanks as always!
