Location: Hmm... I'm confused. Anybody have a starmap to the Core?

The succession has memory issues and I'm pretty sure the only reason why we can't load some savegames is because we exceed the memory limits for save files (This has already happened with an old version T with Planet Parallax). Does anybody know a way to alleviate this situation?

Can we implement code for the game to start "forgetting" wrecks when the game detects that the save is full, starting from the very first system visited (Eridani)? The "disappeared" wrecks won't hurt too badly if people don't backtrack to the very beginning from Heretic or some late-game system. The problem, though, is whether wrecks take up that much memory in savegames, or the main source of memory consumption is something else.

I would suggest forgoeing planet paralax because it causes so much memory consumption. I usually play with at least 20 nodes per cluster and recently I completed a game with 100 nodes per cluster, literally hundreds of systems. THe only reason I can do this is because 1, I have less mods loaded and 2, I don't use planet paralax.

Which takes more memory: Planets Parallax or the uncountable wrecks that we left?

I remeber George saying something about Planet Paralax "being the problem". Let me go find the link.
EDIT: Found it http://forums.kronosaur.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5667 It was on the first page of the 1.2 alpha 1 release topic.

I think Planet Parallax might be the issue again. I'll remove it for the 4th succession.
