How feasible would it be to make a mod that allows you to ally yourself the Charon Pirates (or the Marauders, or the Ares) instead of the Commonwealth?

I do not mod but it is a thought...

Modding the relationship is possible.

Creating all of the dockscreens and interactions with said pirates, would be an undertaking.

Well you only need 3 (or is it four) different dockscreens (one for each station) (items for sale and dock services) and a mission to get allied with them for the mod to reach a useable (though not really complete) point. And the fact the corporations are separate from the CW should even make it doable from the start until St K (trying to run St K at that point in the game would be fun).

If I had an example of some pirate dockscreens made I might be able to do the marauders...

The Marauders are already the same sovereign as the Charon Pirates (&svPirates). That might the one to go with, since they have a pretty big presence on the early game.
You could make some kind of advanced Pirate base(s) to be put further along in the game.

The idea I was having is pirates->marauders->Ares OR Ranx. So you aren't just a measly pirate the whole game.
