You know, it feels good to be able to register for something without to fill out all of those papers that look like a soul-seeking - intermost - depths discovering - goverment issued - tax and census forms!

Thanks be to you all for your mind boggling simplicity!

Get ready for this...
The answer is...
1020!... (Thinks)
You can make 65535 unique numbers with 4 hexadecimal digits... :D
that's 16^4 - 1
ffff, in hexadecimals = 65535, in decimals.

I had a feeling something was wrong. 1020 didn't sound right.

But you don't have four digits, you only have 3 full digits and then the choice between D and E which is 16^3*2-1 or 8192.

umm.. you have 4 digits in the TIII section, plus 3 in the DMMM or EMMM

For example, 0xDDDD can handle 65535 individual entries:
0xDDDD0001 - 0xDDDDFFFF
or with mod domains for unregistered mods:
0xD0000001 - 0xEFFFFFFF

Something like 8192 authors or mod domains each with 65535 individual objects, or more with Resources being in a different class of objects. (UNID for resources can be same as a game object)

So like 536 million unid.

So we're not going to need the F section for a while. If that is indeed what it is for.

Hmmm.... *slaps himself* well...

*digs through xelerus*

Well, I'll be withdrawing all my current mods from xelerus, I guess.

(no big deal though)

so it's still

No... none of them were

I deleted all of them
Don't worry about it though, they were all for 0.98d

Actually for the statistics

One of them was for the Sung slavers which was really just a module and a Transcendence.xml

One of them was for someone to debug. :D which was for 0.99c

The last one was a Playership database.
