3D Graphics Program
Here are two free ones:

Blender is powerful and free but some people think it is hard to use at first. Personally I think it is amazingly flexible and very fast, although you will have to learn a lot of shortcuts.
Here are some resources about blender if you decide to use it:

http://www.blender.org/download/documentation/
http://www.wings3d.com/ <-- Wings3d:
Wings 3d is easier to use for some but lacks some of blender's functionality (Although not in any way that REALLY important).

blender is a good free 3d modeling program. it's tricky to figure out at first, but once figured out is actually quite good.
the gimp is good for assembling all the individual facings due to it's size adjustable snap to grid.
both are free and come in portable versions.

Yeah, Blender is quite the complex program.
I actually have some requests backed up so I'm not taking any new orders right now except in the most general "hey it would be cool if you made this but there are absolutely no guarantees formal or otherwise" way.
But you can use anything of mine on that site in whatever way you want.

No, the Portable VErsions, the full (non portable) versions work just fine on *buntu (thats Ubuntu, etc) and Linux.

I haven't made any Transcendence graphics for a long time (or even been around here); but you can use anything that is on the site for anything Transcendence related that you want.Periculi wrote:OddBob are you still making graphics? I finally checked out the graphics site with Dvlenk and your work on it- fantastic stuff there!
Can I use those those ships and stations in some mods?
