Is there a way to set how long a ship is disabled by EMP? I'm making this EMP Turret and the stupid ships recover right after they get hit! Please help!

I believe it is a bit that you put in the damage part of a weapon. For example you get WMD 1 to WMD 7. I think this also applies to EMP 1 etc.

So if I wanted the enemy to be disabled for about 30 seconds what number should I put after the EMP. right now I have 6 but it doesn't last too long...

I'm not really sure about that. Wait for someone else to reply about this.

The chance of being disabled is controlled by the EMP number:

%chance = 4 * n * n (where n is the number after EMP).

The length of time disabled is controlled by the hit points of damage. Every point of damage will disable the ship for 1/2 second (of real time).

I had it set at 1d4. The Idea was to have the weapon be masivly disabling but not damaging... looks like that will have to change.
