Well, I've been trying to texture a model I made in Wings - I can successfully import it into either Bryce or Blender, but Blender seem to starve the system of resources that it goes so slowly it's impossible to use.
So, Bryce; I've been messing about with the Edit 3D Textures thing, but have gotten nowhere (all I can do is edit the colours, but not the actual texture). I understand that I have to do stuff with the object's material first, but that's about all I know.
A little help, please?

I suggest to open the material editor and load a material similar to the wanted effect. Then start tinkering with it. I always do that.
Actually starting to make a texture with Bryce from scratch is difficult.
(and in my opinion making a nice texture is as difficult as modeling)
