I want to create more stuff for the game. Just because I like creating stuff. But I'm trying to find a niche where it would benefit the game to have more of something, rather than being just more of the same... What kind of things could I make that would be most appreciated?
Given that I don't really have much in the way of scripting skills, that kind of stuff is out for now.
What does it need more of?

I bet Aeonic could make a ship that vaugely reminds one of a cowbell while not really looking out of place. For color it should probably a Ventari ship. I'm not sure if their fluff allows them to have other ships though or even where to find that fluff. I understand it was on the old UTF.

hehe... I could use some proper stations for the ranx empire... (I'd otherwise just push that off until I get the CW/Ares stuff all squared away, along with all the new autons for alterecco.)

You do realize its pretty much impossible to properly duplicate the "feel" of existing sovereigns, right? The only person who has the actual materials that those ships and stations were designed with is george, and he doesn't seem to be sharing.

Sorry, but that praetorian is a perfect match IMO.
And you can take quite some creative liberties with the stations, after all, its for the ranx empire (the ranx from TX2), atm I'm just recycling warlord stations...

Commonwealth military was easy to imitate once I had drawn up an engine tube that looked somewhat like the ones they use. Teratons don't have any ships to imitate, just stations, and frankly I don't think they came out all that great because they're nothing but pointy spikes and low detail.
