I was hoping to introduce a new alien species to make things a little interesting. My idea came from an old Pen-n-Paper RPG (Star Frontiers) and I was hoping to transfer the alien species from that RPG into Trans. They are extremely xenophobic, agressive, merciless and they loot ANYTHING. They take fuel, weapons, armor, junk ('cause they can covert to fuel or base materials), and dead bodies (yummy food), no prisoners...EVER!. So, I want them to be random encounters, where they destroy ALL that they come across (ships, stations, containers, ect) and loot all that can be looted. They should have small, medium and large ships. All ships wrecked have a base chance to explode on docking/undocking. Possibly even put an event similar to CHARON.
Does this seem worth the effort? I know only the very basics for making an extension, and no skill at all in creating ship graphics, but I think it would be awesome.
Would anyone be willing to assist me?
Thanx
Idea for a new alien race......

********* Spoilers **********
Haven't you ever come across Xenophobes in Transcendence? They are almost everything you've said, except they don't loot what they destroy, and they don't randomly blow up when you try to loot them.
If you have never experience them before, go to the new RC Heretic system and do the mission to find the xeno stolen artifact. You will find great hordes.
