After a brief hiatus, work has begun on the sandbox once again.
We have scaled back our ambitions this time, and have a more manageable goal for simply getting a working adventure out.
The sandbox will now use the D&O topology. The same systems we've all come to know and love. This is not set in stone, but drastically reduces our work load for the time being.
Most of the plot will be removed. Namely, things that only happen once or are directly related to the Domina/Pilgrim storyline. Generic missions will be uncapped so you can take them infintely (Korolov escorts, standard militia/fleet, mining outpost, etc.)
The economy will also be completely overhauled so don't expect the same traderoutes to work and selling loot will not be as profitable.
We hope to have a playable version put together in the near future.
Sandbox is back

No - it's mostly stuff on google docs... you'll have to ask ttech for the info on that I think... (I don't remembe x_x)

Actually, those are out of date, the most up-to-date files are in the transcendence community dropbox. Not all the modules are in there, but the core files are.Wolfy wrote:No - it's mostly stuff on google docs... you'll have to ask ttech for the info on that I think... (I don't remembe x_x)

You would need to sign on to dropbox.com and then get an invite. If you do sign on, use an invite from someone here, and get an extra 250MB free (for both parties)
or use *cough* mine *cough*

I just can't do chats very much, they eat up a lot of time.
I really like that dropbox thingy, that is a great little service! Thanks for hooking me up.
Well, I guess it's back to the Box of Chocolate for me.
I'd really like a more defined set of goals for the project, maybe I will get the planning ball rolling and we can fill in the details and make a little better picture of what the desired outcome is going to be to move towards.

Well, it is totally understandable about irc. It does eat up a lot of time.
Dropbox is handy. Remember that the files you drop in there are revisioned to a certain point, so it is not that touchy.
As far as Sandbox goes I am sidestepping it a bit atm. My main focus is on DSF and G.O.D, and I wont be spending time on other mods till I feel done with them. I would like to participate in the debate around it though.
