RPC Hiatus: RL Issues Impeding with Modding

Note: I have no clue what forum to post this in.
I'm going to be taking a hiatus from modding and playing Trans due to RL issues (namely, studying for AP tests). Thus, my capabilities as a modder are going to be severly restricted. In spite of that, I plan to return to modding over the summer. I have decided to relase most of my Work In Progress mods as a way to save time when I start modding over the summer. I want some community feedback as to what to add and how to implement some of the things I want to do in code as a way to reduce modder's block. I will popping in from time to time, but other than that, not much. There are about 3 mods in total.
Most of the mods WILL have balance issues (I'm looking at you, Ares Microturret).
Also, ignore the "FILL IN. If found report on Xelerus." notes.
They are:
1. Nerefir Carrier POC:
-------Description:
-------This is an attempt to create a working carrier. As you can see, it has the Nerefir and some shipchange capabilities into a Ranx gunship. It was meant to be used with Dynamic Systems.

2. Dynamic Systems:
-------Description:
-------This was a mod to get sovereigns to shoot at each other in sponataneous battles. Think RTS style, except with Trans and LOTS of explosions.
-------Currently only has 2 systems.

3. Mayfly Sundance Universe [MSU]:
-------Description: Was originally named Exia, but changed to the Mayfly after reading the copyright thread. Exia is still seen in some of the XML and is the name of the Large image.
-------Has three parts:
--------------The Mayfly ship (my first mod, heh)
--------------Mayfly Sundance Universe
--------------Mayfly Sundance Vanilla Override

-------The Mayfly
-------The Mayfly was my first mod, and so has several random items in there. (also has a cool game-breaking Matrix power- disable this XML to have a 'fair' playthrough)

-------The Mayfly Sundance Universe
-------My first attempt at a adventure extension before Dynamic Systems.

-------Mayfly Sundance Vanilla Override
-------I basically overrode a lot of things in Trans that I felt did not feel right (like the Ares Sentry being so lightly armored yet having a LV X weapon, one of the most advanced the Ares have, in such an insecure place. Hey, if a Domina Pilgrim was able to acquire your Positron cannon, something is wrong with your defenses).

Modding questions:

how do you manage a fleet?
-------what is a good mechanic to .....
--------------create ships?
--------------how to replace ships? do you construct them out of ores? use credits to buy them at stores?
Dynamic Systems:
TODO:
get a working AI, or at least get primitive actions done
-------such as:
--------------creating stations
--------------sending attack fleets
--------------having a patrolbase for ships to inherit to find potential targets for attack fleets
---------------------Question: can we dynamically change what a ship inherits in code? Like from stdbawingmanbase to balootbase?

I feel for you regarding the RL issues RPC -- its' the reason my Hell's Trinity project has been (unofficially) shelved for now. I might take a few of your WIP mods for a spin if I get the chance; some of them sounded quite good! :D

Shipyards is fine to post it in.

(The Ares turret has a level IX weapon, their second most advanced weapon, level-wise, tied with their launcher IIRC)

If this is going to be a lasting thread, may I suggest a propper name for it... will make it easier to find again.

Also, if it is going to form basis for mod development, perhaps it should go in the Drawing Board?

Its an announcement/developing mod thread (I'm going to ask questions in this thread to keep it simple). Move it if it suits you.
