How would I set data in an <Image> tag from a script?

The <Image> tag in an item type, specifically a weapon, not an <Image> resource. I need to change the image UNID it points to and its coords (startX and startY). width and height will not change.
I'm here to shift paradigms and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

it can currently be done only for stations using imagevariants, afaik.

This would be an interesting ticket.

Yes make a ticket. Currently you can only change which variant you want with staSetImageVariant.
